Nyewood CE Infant School
Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
We have all been really busy since coming back to school after half term. There has been fantastic progress and lots of learning taking place. Read on for more information...
Writing: In writing this week we have been practising using a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop correctly. Our confidence has really grown and the progress is clear to see in our Writing books and on the wall in our classroom.
Mathematics: We have been busy practising counting in 2s and 5s. Ask us if we know what comes next in the pattern.
Geography: We have enjoyed making and interpreting maps with a key and using the compass points to tell our friends about where things are on our map.
PE: There was lots of laughter and careful practising going on in our PE lesson this week. We have been using our hand-eye coordination to catch effectively.
Other events that have taken place this week include:
The Sponsored Bounce (thank you for sponsoring us. It was fantastic fun!).
We worked together with children from Hawthorn and Oak classes to make our Remembrance Day display ready for the centenary commemorations of the end of WW1 next week.
Finally, we loved looking at each others beautiful and interesting take home tasks. Thank you for such a fantastic response.
More next week,
Sycamore Class and Mrs Lawlor.
