Nyewood CE Infant School

Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

Harvest and Visitors!

What a busy and fun week we've had!

This week has been a week of many events at Nyewood! We had a very special visitor into school this week; Mr Cristin, Director of Education at the Diocese. He came to look round the school and met with our Year 2 School Councillors who did a brilliant job representing our Nyewood Family. Mr Cristin was very impressed with all he saw and the children he spoke to.

We also had a very special Harvest Worship at St Wilfrid's Church for our KS1 children. It was lovely to see so many family members joining us for what was a really special event. Thank you all for your very generous donations which will go a long way in supporting the Bognor Food Bank.

Also this week, Miss Adlam and I have been visiting every class in the school; checking out the super learning that has been happening! We really have been 'wowed' by how brilliantly children across the whole school could talk to us about their learning and have been especially impressed to hear our 'growth mindset' phrases like, 'You can do it!' and 'What a fantastic mistake!'. Growth mindset is all about having positive attitudes to learning and building resilience. Watch out for more information about this from our Personal, Social, Emotional Development Team who are leading our school forward in this area.

On Monday 24th September at 9.30 it is our EYFS Harvest Worship in school. We look forward to seeing our Reception parents and carers there.
